One of the major drives in cancer care remains a reduction of variability in outcome between countries, as well as within regions in each country.
As an evolution of the Clinical Fellowship Programme, ESO recognises that “hands on” teaching at the bedside, in the context of working in multidisciplinary teams, is an essential component of education and training in cancer care and will provide structured training programmes in European centres of excellence.
Within the Clinical Training Centres programme, ESO intends to complement its existing educational offer by organising trainee oncologists of the future to spend a period of time in a clinical setting specially designed to address their needs.
